This E250/Triton V8 van made it nearly 1.3 million miles before it lost oil pressure. At that many miles he just didn't care to find out why (and needed to keep driving). Transmission made it 1.2 million. Maintenance was less-than-stellar, bordering on negligent.

Your truck can make it a lot longer if you want it to.
My van is coming up on 399,000 miles. I change the oil every 7-12,000 miles (depending on the amount of in-town use), and it spends plenty of time wound up near 5,000 RPM since my total weight is close to 25,000 pounds on long trips. Transmission fluid gets changed every 100,000 miles. Front end is getting a little worn again (actually busted a ball joint early this fall) so I have an F550 front axle that will be going in soon. E450 rear axle will go in next, since I'm pretty hard on the diff.
But... if you want a new truck... by all means get a new truck! They have more power, use less fuel, are quieter, ride better, and smell nicer!
