Tinting Windows on TC

I have thought about doing this for stealth camping ,Id like to get a dark tint but Im not sure how hard it would be to look out windows and see outside at night with the exterior lights on and in the daylight for that matter . Has anyone tinted their TC windows out there that can tell me how they like it ? Thanks,Lou

  • I tinted mine with very dark tint, and I like the way it looks and helps with cooling. For stealth camping, I cut window size pieces of Luan plywood, which I Velcro to the window frame. Everything looks dark from the outside. I don't stealth camp often, and I slide the window covers under the mattress when not in use.
  • Mine are tinted. They look great and add privacy. They also distort your view looking out “all” of the time.

My Northern Lite came that way when I bought it. During the daytime you could not see in AT ALL even from a foot away!! At night with lights on inside it was easy to see in.
If its easy to see in at night it would defeat my purporse:( Thanks

I think you will find the same problem with any level of tinting.
Probably an easily removable solid cover, Reflectix etc., would be a better option.
