80MPH is unsafe in my opinion, regardless of tire. Do yourself, your wife, and those on the road around you and SLOW DOWN. Your stopping distance in case of emergency is significantly increased towing when towing. The conditions of our freeways are generally fair to horrible, and that adds to the unsafe condition you are creating.
Yes, you should listen to your wife. And now you need to replace all your tires. Read up on LT vs ST and do your research.
