TIres, looking for long wearing, all weather load range E

No one here has said Goodyear. I am still running the stock Goodyear wranglers on my 2500 and have no issues. Just turned over 60K. Will need tires at some point but haven't decided when that will be. I do not pull as heavy as weight as you but over 50% of the miles has been with trailers 8-12K lbs.

Cooper HT3

I run Sailun terramax at's, I got 50000mi on my last set towing a 14K 5th. I only got 30000mi with my BFG AllTerrain Ta's I used to run.

Living where I live and doing what I do, mileage out of tires falls behind ability. A tire that can tow heavy and make it to 60K and still be stellar in snow, ice and moderate offroad I am not sure exists. I had one set of EXO Grapplers that hit 55K, close as I have come and no other set of EXO's made it or will make it to 50K, more like 45K. When I do the math, a $1200 set of tires that goes to 60K costs .02 cents a mile. A set that gets 45K out of the same set of $1200 tires costs .026 cents a mile. It simply isnt worth it to me to run a tire that excels in mileage at the cost of performance. I want the most for my money like most people, but "most" for me is excellent Winter traction, and good offroad performance and at least 45K out of a set. I pull heavy trailers, and pull them on marginal logging roads, deep snow and icy snow pack is the rule of the day in the Winter. Saving money on a set of long running tires that gets me hung up in BFE, or sliding sideways down the highway isnt cost savings. If you run in difficult conditions, I think it is important to keep your environment in mind when deciding on what type of tires you need.

Not happy with Michelin LTX. Never got over 35K out of them with mostly unloaded freeway driving. Have used Bridgestone with good mileage but the ride was not great. New truck came with Firestone Transforce and am not expecting much from them either.

I have a friend with 2 sets of michelin tires on his ram and both cracked very early. I am on our 2nd set with no cracks on the first or the tires on the truck now. I know of many MH michelin tires that looked like a dry desert.

Nothing is perfect.

I just put a set of Cooper HT3s on my pickup. They seem to ride nice on the 5 miles I have on them. I have always had good luck with Coopers. I had been running Goodyear Wranglers for years because they worked so well on snow and ice. They changed their tires, and I didn't like the offerings, so I went straight to Cooper. I got about 30,000 out of my last sets, and that is about average for me, with mainly mountain driving.

Just like me, another unhappy Michelin customer. Never again with the sidewall cracking and poor customer support.

My 5W is about the same weight as yours, I run Yokohama Geolandar HT. I have 40K+ and they will likely need changed by years end.

I'm sold on Michelin. I've managed 80K out of my last 3 sets.
