Long waiting lists? I've never heard of such a thing. I can pull into just about any tire store around town here and they have tires in stock; I'd be ready to roll in less than 90 minutes. Your area stores don't stock trailer tires? Wow.
Since you have a couple of weeks at least, maybe you could order some trailer tires from Tire Rack or similar online store and have them shipped to you.
