A travel trailer has a state or provincial plate, it may be a one time registration like here in quebec
But when you sell you have to transfer the registration ( this is a security you know you are buying from the owner)
Here in quebec TC are registered the pickup plate goes for the camper

If it has an axle, you have to pay road tax in a form of license tabs or perminent registration. that is how it is in Minnesota. sorry, I guess that does not answer your question about the title.

I guess you would need the rest of the story. How old is the trailer? Where are you going with it? Etc.
I had a 1979 pop up for close to 4 years I just recently sold. I never got the ownership either. When the buyer asked for it I told him the story and left it to him to decide if he still wanted the trailer.
