Got our first bumper pull RV, pulled it home from the dealer, no grease on the ball. 30 mile trip and the chrome was already coming off the ball. Thin coat of vaseline on the ball, hitch head end of the trunnion bars and all is well. BTW: Reese says it's OK to use vaseline or their $5 a tube product.
