So our less than year old cougar has a problem, the toilet doesn't flush.When you press the foot lever the water barely trickles out, not nearly enough to get the job done.Water pump is fine, both sinks have plenty of water when turned on.Any suggestions?

are you sure the cutoff valve is turned all the way on if you have one?Or a line somewhere has come loose, but there would be a leak if that's the case!

Not sure about your slow water, other than, maybe a line is pinched somewhere causing a blockage.But in the mean time, RV toilet flushers work one of two ways: A pedal that pushes down only, or a pedal that pushes both up and down.The down only pedal: You can press the pedal slightly and start the flow of water without releasing the valve in the bottom of the bowl. This will let you fill the bowl with water before letting the valve open. This helps get "everything" down ... especially if your water is slow.The up and down pedal: If you push down on the pedal, water flows and the valve opens. But ... if you press up with your tow, water fills and the valve stays closed. Here again, fill the bowl with water before releasing the flush valve.Hope this helps. I think you have a pinched water line somewhere.

Make and model of the toilet would be helpful.Some Thetfords have issues with the control cable.

I would not rule out a pinched PEX line. We had one on our 2014 KZ TT. Dealer cut the PEX at the kink and installed a brass PEX coupling. The kink was easy to spot but I supposed one could be hidden anywhere. Maybe try and follow the braided hose to where it connects to PEX. The braided hose could be kinked too as it is easily collapsed/pinched.You might try unscrewing the swivel connector at the back of the toilet and seeing if the flow is okay. Could temporarily attach a faucet, extend a length of hose or PEX with a fitting on the end, or possibly let the water flow into a container.

I have an Outback and had to remove the supply line at the toilet several times before I got all of the trash out of it.

Update:
your suggestions were right on!
the water line coming has a screen, this screen was completely clogged with plasticy grime.

Check under the pedal. Maybe a rock or twig (something) under the petal not allowing you to fully press the pedal down.

maybe I'm way off here but this is staring at me "So our less than year old cougar ". As much as I'd like to learn to fix everything that could every possibly go wrong with my trailer, and this forum is fantastic for learning ... has anybody else thought WARRANTY on this one ?

I had this EXACT problem 2 weeks ago.
I went a "head" and ordered the new valve from Amazon for my Thetford Auqa Magic IV.

When I pulled the valve I found a small rock in the orifice.
Put the new valve in anyways since it was already apart.
HUGE difference.

Sounds like you have a Sealand Toilet

Holes in rim could be clogged

OR inlet screen in water supply valve may be clogged (under side pedal cover where inlet line connects)

If it was working previously then the line is not kinked. Kinks don't happen spontaneously, in my experience. I agree with the suggestion that there may be crud in the line and it is partially plugged.

Haha...seeing as we bought this new 11 months ago

There are about 12 water holes going around the top of the bowl, I'll check out some of your suggestions when I get home.
