We were down to the same choices the EC 1165 or the host mammoth, we chose the host for the slide out system, storage , and the ease of getting in and out of the bed without disturbing your partner. We have had no problems with the toilet setup and no over spray. Small complaints so far after about 35 night's out in the host would be that the propane tanks are a pain to change out , a little easier with the rear slide closed, a slide tray for the tanks would have been a great option, thinking about going to 20 lbs tanks when not dry camping. The slide type windows need to be closed in rainy weather but am working on some vents that were recommended here on the forum as well as hatch vent cover like max air. So far very happy with the host.
