Toilet question for Host Mammoth owner

Please excuse the question as I am trying to make a final decision on a camper and no dealers near by to see in person. For those Host owners, looking at the picture link below is the toilet installed in an akward positton? Not only does it sit on a shelf, it is set further back.

I am assuming feet dangle which really isnt healthy and for the gentleman do you have to balance yourself on the little ledge when standing up? How large is the toilet,is it like the smaller ones that are in the Lance Campers? Has anyone actually upgraded the toilet to a porcelain elongated toilet? Or is there something liek the squatty potty for this setup? Squatty potty

A seasoned Overlander emphasized to me the power to being able to go to the bathroom comfortably is the key to long term success on the road. Thanks

  • That would depend on your accuracy and urgency. The bowl height is taller than some urinals.
  • Also for those who pee standing up, does the towel right next to the toilet get any spray on it?
  • Standing on the main floor when using the toilet, I have to slightly squat my head under the slide out due to my height. Sitting, you rest your feet on the lower shelf if you are tall and upper shelf if you have a shorter inseam.
  • The toilet sits in the drivers side slide along with the black tank. The raised tank is due to the black tank underneath.

The black tank and grey tank also can't be dumped without moving the hose. One thing I wasn't crazy about.

The distance to the floor is fine for me but I am over 6' tall.

If you would like any specific pictures or measurements let me know and I can take them tomorrow.

What are the other contenders for your decision on a TC?
