Tongue jack replacement
When replacing your tongue jack, do you get a jack that is more than your tongue weight? Example, my tongue weight is about 950lbs. Would a 2000 lbs tongue jack be adequate enough?

I have a #3500 Ultrafab electric jack for my #650 tw trailer.. I had a UF #3000 one before and that lasted some 13 years.
I could never lower the tailgate on my truck with the electric jacks.. I don't remember if I could with the original crank jack, but that went away after the first year..
I was able to mount the 3500 sideways, so at least the tailgate does not hit on the metal part. It only hits on the plastic part now.
