Too many miles on truck before long trip?
I have a 2008 3/4 ton, GMC with 180k miles. HATE the thought of replacing it any time soon, but am I crazy to try and plan a 10k cross-country road trip towing our 5'er? -Tony

I had the same issues on my 05 Ram with 187,000. Never had a major repair on it and nothing on the drive train at all. But at my age DW and I decided not to risk road repairs and no warranty. So I put the 05 on CL and a couple days later had 18 grand towards a new truck. I feel more confident in the new truck even though I know in my gut the 05 would do anything I ask of it for another 100k. Probably
