We don't have a specific trailer picked out yet but most of the bunkhouse ones that we've seen come in right around the 7,000 lb mark fully loaded.
That sounds awful light for a bunkhouse !

The V6 eco boosts are everywhere but I made the mistake of reading too much about them online and am now terrified of getting one and having reliability issues with the turbo in them.
Most of the issues with the 1st Gen 3.5L EcoBoost were from coolant leaks getting into the engine oil. People just kept topping off the coolant because they did not nowhere it was going. When they did figure it out, the main and rod bearings were already "compromised". Camshaft phasers were also an issue
There was a major design change for the 2nd Gen 3.5L EcoBoost that eliminated the possibility of a water pump failure dumping coolant into the oil pan. They redesigned the camshaft phasres for better duranility and they also add a second set of injectors which keep the valves clean. This came out in the 2017MY along with the 10R80 transmission.

I like the 5.4 V8 tundra but the price is a lot higher and their payload is significantly less than the F150. On the plus side it has a 4.41 rear end.
Lower payload is not good. The 4.41 rear end will get you rolling, but how well will it handle gusts of wind/trucks passing on the highway.
The 2017 and up F150 will get much better non-towing fuel economy.
