F150 max tow package comes with the 3.55 rear with the 10 speed transmission, and requires the 3.5 ecoboost. Regular (sometimes listed as heavy duty) towing Package comes with a 3.31. 3.73 would be an added option but comes with the Heavy Duty Payload Package with either 3.5EB or 5.0. The HDPP & Max Tow also comes with a 36 gallon gas tank.
You can go to Ford's website and download a given model year Towing Guide that lists limits based on the various wheelbase, cab type, axle, GVWR, & engine.
My 5.0 with towing package window sticker shows added cost for the 3.55.
My standard recommendation is, once you have your chosen tow vehicle (TV), use the Gross Trailer Weight Rating (GTWR) for the most likely weight you will be pulling. We all tend to overload our Travel Trailers (TT), at least at first. Then figure that 10-15% of that will be your tongue weight, carried by the TV as part of its cargo. If you have read a while here, you should have read that most people run out of TV Cargo Capacity (CC) before coming close to GTWR.
Last, as a general ballpark, I recommend getting a TT that has a GTWR that is about 80% of the TV tow rating for a more comfortable tow, especially in hills or mountains.
