I used my husband's 2014 F250 super duty as my daily commuter sometimes, when he needed my SUV to go places that his truck wouldn't have been appropriate for (like parking it at the airport, or going to downtown Denver). It was fine. Was it as comfortable as my Edge SUV? No. But it worked fine for my 40 mile round trip commute.
He has an F350 dually now and I can't take it to work, my new office is in a location that doesn't have big enough parking for it (wouldn't have been great for the 250 either, but I could have at least made it work since it wasn't so wide). He actually has to go downtown this week for a training, and we had to rent a car for him to drive. So there's that consideration too... where all are you taking the truck as your daily?
ETA: I was completely comfortable driving his 2013 F150 all the time, it was a very nice daily driver. But of course not good enough for towing larger trailers :)
