I tow a 24' 5500 lb trailer with a Tahoe (similar wheelbase and hitch-to-axle length), and honestly feel like I'm at the length limit for the wheelbase I've got. It's reasonably stable and braking power is very good, but I don't want any more trailer behind me. My Tahoe has a 7200 tow capacity.
