- mcadamanExplorer15'10"is the exterior length. We have a 2010 Liberty Sport, 3.7v6,2wd, DRAW TITE class3 hitch, CURT electric brake controller. The Geo Pro is solar equipped which is what we've been looking for since we mainly boondock. Equipped with 100w solar panel, 30amp controller, 1000w inverter. Will still take the portable solar generator that I made.
- 20' is a long trailer for such a short vehicle.
But, is 20' the overall length or the length of the actual trailer box? - ppineExplorer IIIt might be okay in the flat country like Texas. My girl has driven a Liberty for years, since 2003. Short wheelbase does not help. She has towed my aluminum boat a few times, around 3,000 pounds and did okay.
- opnspacesNavigator IIIs there a yellow sticker on the door frame that lists the cargo capacity? Also you might need to check the owners manual for the actual towing specification. You might have already posted it, but what year is the Jeep. Also what's the trim package?
- mcadamanExplorerThe sticker on the door says GVWR 5600lbs, GAWR 2750 (f), 3250 (r). We will bring it home empty.
- babockExplorerWhat does the payload sticker say?

Thanks for the replies. We have a Jeep Liberty 5000 GVWR, draw tite class 3 hitch, curt brake controller. 3.6L V6, 2 WD. Any advice helps!
That still doesn't tell us what the towing capacity is. As the previous poster suggests it likely won't be a pleasant experience especially on steep grades or in a cross wind. - MitchF150Explorer IIIEven if it does have the full "#5000 tow rating" on it, that thing won't be very enjoyable to tow with IMO... Sure, you'll get down the road, but I would not do it with that combo..
My folks have a 2005 Liberty with the V6, auto, but no factory tow hitch, but even if it did, I wouldn't tow more than a small utility trailer or a small aluminum fishing boat with it..
Actually, didn't even like driving it in general.. ha, ha...
Anyway, Sounds like you have bought the trailer and already have the Liberty, so what'ca going to do??
Must have been a heck of a deal to get it from a dealer all the way in Ohio when you live in Texas? Heck, I got my Rockwood from a dealer about 3 miles away from my house!
Good luck!

- kellemExplorerThat depends on your Liberty as they range from 2000-5000lb towing capacity.
The specified trailer is quite small and towable but not safe if your liberty is on the lower end of the towing spectrum.
What is the specs on your Liberty.
