For a gross trailer weight of 7500 pounds, the recommended tongue weight should be at least 750 pounds but not more that 1125 pounds. That kind of weight on a pickup truck with a 48” extension will make steering very difficult and may lift the front wheels off the ground when driving at highway speeds over real rough roads. I am guessing with the AF 1150, that the gross rear axle rating of your truck will be greatly exceeded. I certainly wouldn’t ever do that.
