I had an 09 GMC 2500 6.0 liter gasser and hated every minute of towing with it. It down shifted every 10-20 miles between home and Holbrook, AZ and I had to drive with my foot. Never could use the cruise. On the same trip my 13 GMC 2500 Duramax cruises down the road with nary an issue and down shifts once on the same trip to Holbrook.
Never again will I own a gas engine truck when towing much of anything.
