So, going off topic a bit, how much better are the 17/18 diesels than, say, an '09 Duramax?
I've got a 2500 with the Duramax with 110k miles on it. While the iron is great (no block problems, gaskets, tranny, etc), every dadblasted sensor on the thing has failed in the past 18 months, leaving me very familiar with both limp mode and AAA's towing number.
I don't want to replace the truck ....other than the sensor issues, it's perfect for what I use it for and I can't see $60k+ for a replacement......unless I have to spend thousands every couple of months on sensor replacements.
Other than the NSBU switch which was fixed by 05? Or so, guessing most of the issues have been emissions related? If so, 1 word, delete!
New trucks are nice, but you still have the same basic drivetrain as new and a delete/tune will put you in new truck power category.
Jsut my 2c but I like Dmaxes.
