I drive an 08 Duramax driven since new with 140K on it and it has had very few issues. Zero sensors, I had to clean the MAF last month but no replacements of anything. I had a '15 Duramax ran it to 65K and it never had an issue. My '18 threw a code in the first 500 miles which required a sensor replacement and an ECM update for a stumbling on acceleration issue, that is apparently common with some of the early '18. I have not had it reoccur since the update, so hopefully it is gone. I have 7K on it now and nothing has come up since. The engine characteristics are much different than previous versions. Feels much quicker, more responsive than previous versions. The MPG at least for me (bigger tires) is about the same as the 08, but considerably more powerful.
