I have been towing for over 21k miles with a 2021 F150 4x4 Lariat Powerboost. We tow a 32ft trailer with approx. 7500lbs loaded.
The truck has tons of power to spare. We went from Phx to Glacier and down the Oregon Coast this summer. No problems whatsoever going up hill or maintaining any speeds. I used to tow a similar trailer with a 2006 Nissan Titan and it is day and night.
The built in generator if you get, it is a god sent. It is silent most of the time. The mileage is 8-10 Mpg towing with the occasional 11 on flat, no wind. Truck is very quiet and a dream to tow uphill with.
The only issue I am still trying to fix is a little too much softness in the rear suspension. I can level front and rear of the truck when loaded with trailer but a leveled truck still makes the headlights point to trees. I tried a pair of Timbren SES and the helped but they are too harsh over bumps.
Other than that, I have learned to love this truck. Now, the wife wants a fifth wheel so I need something bigger :-)
If you can swing the Powerboost, it may be worth considering.
