I don't disagree that the truck can compete with early 2000's trucks. But it's 2021? Being able to compete with a 20 year old truck is not a monumental acheivement.
At the end of the day the ecoboost are a solid platform with more than ample power, However they lack payload and do not have an exhaust brake.
Ultimately they become a niche truck limited to 7500# GVR TT's.
They lack what it takes to be a true heavy duty truck.
