I think you'll see an incremental improvement, but not a transformational one. Definitely not profound enough to put a smile on your face.
I almost went down this road years ago. Wound up with a different truck instead. For three tows a year, I'd go back to that version of myself and tell me to live with it and enjoy camping.
It sounds like you want the new gears pretty bad. . . which makes me even more sure that you won't feel you get your money's worth. The overall experience may not meet your expectations.
