you may want a mod to move you over to the TT forum. I've never towed with one but I pony'ed my neighbors 2018 home for her. Short 55 mile drive home. Now I had muscle cars back in the '60s and for a 5500-5700 lb machine its a blast to drive.

A lot depends on the trailer. I tow a 6000ish lb travel trailer with a 5.7 Hemi. It only has 395 horses. I rarely ever use all of 'em and that's only when getting up to speed in a hurry. I would have no problem towing 8000 lbs, power wise.

I imagine it does great, but anymore there's nothing "monstrous" about 420hp/450 torque these days. Fords best F150 offering beats those figures handily. I suppose the Ram TRX smokes them both, but that's more of a racer boy truck than a serious tow vehicle.

Be aware that that "monstrous" HP and TQ are made high in the RPM band.

It's not going to lope up mountains towing a TT at 1800RPM. You'll likely spend a lot of time with the engine at 3000-3500RPM like any other gas engine.
