I happen to have the 4.30 in mine. Tow an 11.5K fifth wheel during the winter.
I really do not understand the issue of getting off the line while hooked up and am skeptical that the 4.30 makes that much difference. My F250 won't hardly move in 1st before it shifts.
Also my truck will not shift up quick when towing like it does when empty. I like the quick upshift and TC lock up early on when empty.
maybe I am just not in a big hurry, don't know. Flat landing I do 65 at 2000R's with the cruise on.
Also I do not feel that I have to zoom up the long 6% grades, but I still do better than my antique 99 psd diesel did with the ancient trans. :h
