Our company has been buying those. It is actually quite a bit more powerful than the even the old 4.6L V8. You should be fine. It may cruise at a higher RPM (with the trailer) than your old motor if you had the pushrod 4.0. But its so smooth at higher RPMs you wouldn't know if you weren't watching the tach.
note - You can tap the shift arrows up and down to limit your top gear. If you put it in "M" it will no longer downshift automatically, except when it hits minimum operating RPMs.
