Thanks for the memories - Having worked in the Sacremento Area back in the 60s-70s got to do alot of trails back then - This was mostly JEEP CAMPING pulling a util trailer with TENT CAMPING supplies... We first lived in the Rancho Cordova area and then in Eastern Sacremento area working as DOD contractors... The long grade hill up to Rancho Cordova was a pretty good pull for my trusty old 50's M38 Jeep pulling a loaded down utility trailer haha...
We visited Placerville and all the back roads up that way all the time following the GOLD RUSH storyline. I felt right at home in this area..
Being new to this area I was astonished by the Chinese folks that lived there in the early Gold Rush days. Even now we would drive into small towns that were still totally Chinese...
We still stay in touch with our Sacremento 60s and 70s friends who went to the Sacramento area the same time frame we did from the Wichita falls Texas area working the DOD Contractor Electronic System and Depots...
