Thanks for sharing you trip report. I've been to those places, mostly on my Harley. We had a Citation 10.8 pickup camper years ago. Such freedom, can't be beat.
Try hanging out north and east of John Day sometime. It's such a low population over there, you might not see a single soul in an hour on some of the main roads.
