Traded 5er for TT

We had our 5er for 14 years. Wife and I agreed that we needed a trailer that is lower to the ground with no inside stairs. At 73 yrs of age, our knees are not what they once were. We had a 32ft 5er with 2 slides. We now have a 30ft TT with 3 slides. It is a Rockwood and the wife just loves it. Happy camping to all...........

  • Someone asked about the towing difference. The 5er was always great so this was a concern. However this tt pulls great. I have an F350 diesel dually that always performs perfectly. With the new hitch that Camping World set us up with there are no issues at all. Happy camping...........
  • Congrats enjoy the new rig. I hope me and my wife will still be in our tt or th at your age, we are only 30 now so we have awhile.

Congratulations and best wishes. I'm not very many years behind you. :D
  • Towing should be great as long as you have an adequate tow vehicle and setup. I did the same thing and enjoy the lower platform and less steps inside. I take a lot of back roads and whacked a few tree limbs with the 5er that I now pass under without any worry.
  • What do you think about the towing differences between the two rigs?
  • I know the feeling we are 72 and 73 (I'll soon be 74) time seems to catch up to us somewhere about the early 70's Enjoy and Happy Camping
