Horse a piece between the 2 trucks. Both are stout work horses.
Both are 800 ft lbs (850 Ram/Aisin I believe). You wont know what to do with all the power compared to the 1500! Thes new trucks are at the same power levels, stock, that trucks with decent programmers were making just a couple years ago.
Ram really upgraded the chassis for the '13 3500's. Worth considering, but a couple yrs ago the GM chassis was beefier than the 4th Gen Ram, so they're about on par.
I thought all the '13 3500's had the HO engine and the Aisin trans but ICBW.
The 68rfe is fine as stated above but if I was dropping that kind of coin on a truck I'd want the med duty trans (Aisin).
Personally I like the GM IFS better than the solid axle Ram on the road, but my experience is on more dated equipment. I've driven a 4th Gen Ram and it was TIGHT up front.
I say flip a coin. You wanna be Rammin or Like a Rock?
Niether is a bad decision in the least and they are equally capable.
