I see some people double towing but I wouldn’t be comfortable with it. It’s not hard to take the cover off to get to the frame though, and I think it’s legal in la. If there is no one near you Mike Gerald’s in Baton Rouge does all kinds of stuff. They’d be worth talking to and I’ve always had good service from them.
