Trailer recommendation

You can save yourself some legwork by going online to both RVWholesalers and RVDirect. They show tons of models, layout and pix...sometimes videos. Lots of different manufacturers.

If you're still thinking of a smaller TT but with a slide, check out the Rockwood Mini Lites on RVW.

RVW and maybe RVD do not post their prices but will email them to you. No games, no haggling. They do show a mostly fictional MSRP and you can guesstimate about 30%+ off that price as their selling price. We bought both our HTT and TT from RVW and saved a bundle even after trip expenses...maybe something to consider. If nothing else, you can print out the info and use it as a negotiating tool with a local dealer. Both of our trailers have been Rockwood and very pleased with them. Good luck.

Hey BubbaChris, how are you liking your North trail trailer?? I'm interested in the North Trail 22RBK model. I like that it is supposed to have better insulation. Big bathroom, wish the bed was a real 60 x 80 though. Any major problems with yours??

If you find one with sliding doors for the bedroom, look for posts from other owners about durability.

When we were shopping we ruled out that style because I read too many stories of them either coming off their tracks on the road or completely failing.

You do realize that in manufacturing, raw materials, for the most part are the lowest percentage of the cost of manufacture, the value is added by labor added to construct a finished product. So slightly more expensive material does not justify a huge price increase. Slightly more expensive labor, with burden and overhead and profit added on top, is what jacks the price up. Basic cost accounting.

I'd find something you like, and find an RV dealership somewhere near Indiana, if that's where it's made, negotiate a deal, and then take a vacation driving up there to pick it up with huge savings, and then drive it back home. Your payments should be significantly lower doing it this way, not having to pay shipping costs, or finance them, or get taxed on them too.

I can't figure Skyline out. My kids just bought a 2015 Ecocamp. There were at least a dozen 2015 Koalas there, also. Nothing on their website, though.

If I were replacing my current "tag a long", it'd be one that was about 4 feet longer with a rear kitchen.

My current trailer is only about 20/21 feet long in the living area.

Our Winnebago 2201DS is 26'9" and has the entertainment wall as a divider. It's also available with outdoor kitchen and has a great bathroom with lots of storage. It's not a 4 season camper, so not as pricey as a Lance.

Unfortunately they will have to be used. Skyline dropped all the Koala's.

Mine has done a very good job for us so far.
