Absolutely not what the ins co. told us after ours got totaled by another driver. Luckily it was his fault and his ins had to pay. We now have a separate policy on the TT and had to add more policies for the 2 cargo trailers and separate policies to cover the cargo in the trailers, called inland marine. The only way to know for sure is to ask your agent, before the accident.
In Florida the trailer is covered when hooked to a vehicle by the vehicle Ins. Your Ins company lied to you. But this is exactly the reason my TT and auto policy is the same company. No way to wiggle out. BTW, my TT ins is only $50 deductible and it paid for many years of coverage when lightning struck it in a CG.
