- rbpruExplorer IIThere may be no way to judge the accident but it is a good reminder that things just happen.
That is why details like insurance, route planning, maintenance etc. are more than just minor details. You may not get rolled in a windstorm but there are plenty of other natural and man-made problems hiding out there.
I can sympathize with the folks, more than once I have been towing in a modest crosswind and been rocked by a strong gust from nowhere. Sort of a “where the heck did that come from” incident. I am sure the driver was not thinking “Oh boy a wind storm, let see what will happen”.
I hope they were not hurt. - hohenwald48ExplorerYeah, I noticed that too. Kind of makes you wonder what caused the rollover. I just assumed the wind rolled the TT which in turn rolled the TV. Maybe there's more to the story.
- GordonThreeExplorerthe destruction of the truck is amazing, usually the trailer is reduced to a pile to sticks and the truck looks banged up. this time the trailer looks banged up and the truck is a twisted heap of steel.
- Dennis_M_MExplorerJust looking at the pictures breaks your heart!
- tbredExplorer IIWhat a useless article, no mention of condition of driver/passengers.
- hohenwald48ExplorerIt always amazes me that the hitch connection is strong enough for the TT to roll the TV. It really seems like they would come apart before the TV rolls but I guess it doesn't.
- LynnmorExplorerI won't pass judgement on the driver, that front came thru fast and furious.
- 4LowNGoExplorerIt happened right near the truck stops and a rest stop.
- jfkmkExplorerThose were some very severe storms that moved through that area Friday evening. There were also tornado warnings. Guy probably shouldn't have been on the road.
