I agree, this is a great cover. I bought mine thinking I could use it with my 5th wheel and truck camper. When folded open it is high enough and back far enough that in a tight turn or un level area especially when backing it could be a issue. So when traveling with the 5th wheel I remove the cover. I also have a truck camper and this cover is ideal for this because it can be removed in a moment. Also with a locking tailgate it is more secure than a soft top for sure.
All though you will spend more that 500 for this cover, mine was about 800.00. But it is a solid hard shell very sturdy. I have had the roll tops in the past and they are very handy too. Just depends on what you will be doing with yours.
I had a similar issue with tight turns and unlevel ground with my Retrax. I eventually damaged retrax beyond repair. Ouch!
I now have a Bak Flip G2.
I agree all combo are no a like. Tonneau covers and 5'ers do not always play well together. It is not a one size fits all scenario
