Before I get on with Day 3 - a quick update (and thanks for the comments so far):
I just picked Sally up from the hospital. She has finished the IV antibiotics regime, but they gave her a doggy bag of extra drugs to take away, probably more of the same in pill form. She is now madly cleaning the house (not sure why because I cleaned it before collecting her to save her something to do).
She actually enjoyed being in the shared ward with 3 other women - plenty of people to talk to, though didn't get much sleep - all the noise of hospitals.
Yes Silver, Sally is a big Cathy Reichs fan - we tend to listen to them as books on CD when travelling - you certainly chew through the miles that way.
Now, on with the story...
