Trip to CA..help me plan for TC camping

South out of Susanville before getting to Truckee is a train museum place in the town of Porterville. Worth it if you like trains.
A side trip to Reno has a place just North called Moon Rocks. I do a lot of off roading there and it lives up to it's name. Looks like you are on the moon. Not worth it if you don't off road, not to be missed if you do.
