Trouble with a Titan XD

Well interesting that Nissan joined the 3/4 ton truck crowd. I had no idea, I guess when I saw the payload at the dealer, my thoughts were of a 1/2 ton truck. The truck had some good qualities and the interior was really well designed for look and function. I was taken back by the payload sticker though. Personally I think that a truck is defined more by what it can do than by how much it weighs. While the XD does have a very high GVWR for a 1/2 ton it also has an extremely high curb weight. Basically, it is not rated to do any more than most half ton trucks on the road. To me, that makes it a 1/2 ton. Some reviews have said that it is more comfortable at its rated capacity than other half tons but in my opinion it is still a half ton until Nissan changes the ratings.
