Trouble with a Titan XD

Toyota build a 3/4 ton? Why? The big sales numbers are in the 1/2 ton class. Makes no sense to invest 100's of millions to compete in the 3/4 ton class against the big 3 that are serving that segment nicely and have a big, loyal following. In summary, the numbers just aren't there and Toyota has recognized this for many years.
