I opted for the control valves and illuminated gauge that was an option with my PacBrake air bags and it uses the on-board air system running my exhaust brake.
I mounted the controls below the seat rail, behind the driver door fire extinguisher.

Remove the fire extinguisher and you see the inflate / exhaust switches for each side and a dual needle, two input pressure gauge

Onboard air and the gauges makes it very easy to return the pressure to where it just engages the overload springs by targeting 50 psi every time. I deflate to 5 psi when the camper is off the truck.
We also use the air bags to fine tune the level of the TC after getting part way there with leveling blocks. This usually happens in the dark, in a ski area parking lot, in the snow, so the location makes this quick and relatively dry, with the bubble gauges on the front corner of the TC. The illumination makes it easy to avoid exceeding the airbag 100 psi rating.
