Use is adjustable based on behavior. Another aspect of the same idea is this...
Think about your fresh water routing in the camper. How far is it from the water heater to the use area? If it's a long distance, every time you want hot, you'll put too much down the drain, which worsens not only actual water use in a week, but draining grey as well.
To eliminate this problem I just turn the WH on for 15 mins in the summer prior to taking a shower and 25 mins in the fall then shut it off and only use the hot water faucet so no water is wasted to adjust for temperature.
