RV manufacturers just don't cater to the "big family, small footprint" crowd.
I imagine because there's probably a dozen people that are interested in such a barebones setup. It's too niche of a design.
I could possibly tinker on a truck camper as long as it's functional enough to get onto/off of the truck. Get it from storage/take it back to storage as needed.
