Here's what I do when looking for a new vehicle or RV. I do a search online for the Lance 865... RV Trader Online, Craigslist, Local RV Dealers and other sites that pop up when I do a Google search.
This will give me a range of prices. I then decide how much the unit is worth to me. I start negotiations with a very low offer and hold fast to see how far down the dealer will drop their price. Try this at a few dealers (you can do this online, over the phone or in person). This will head you towards the bottom line price. Choose the dealer you want to buy from and start negotiating to get to your price. Make them come down to your price don't offer it up. If they get close to your price then start asking for extras...until you feel comfortable with the deal. The last vehicle I bought it took 6 hours of negotiations before we reached an agreement.
