Well you are on in 10,000 and most likely a hazard on the road. When trucks are pulling trailers at 65 MPH and autos and trucks are doing 75 MPH some guy tooling down the road at 55 is a hazard causing a lot of motorists to do a lot of otherwise unnecessary lane changes. It is why many areas post a minimum speed limit on freeways.
This is not a country of laws in case you had not noticed. Legal to swindle, legal to torture, legal to evade taxes, legal to assassinate a US citizen, even legal to poison people with toxic waste.
My speed depends on the road, the other traffic, and the wind velocity. With a 20 MPH headwind the air drag at 65 MPH is the same as at 80 MPH with no headwind and so I adjust my speed down or pay the penalty in poorer fuel economy.
