My first choice would be a 1/2 ton TV and a small TT if I were planning on “living” in it for 6 months. The TC would be convenient, but it takes a big TV to haul one and I think it would feel more cramped than even a small TT. I like PU’s and used one for many years and setup and rain never bothered me. Gas mileage would be the best because of the low profile and it would likely feel more spacious for the size you’re pulling. But the lack of tank size would be a disadvantage over the TT and I don’t know if I’d want to spend that length of time in one. The TT would also have a better bathroom. Also a PU isn’t convenient to just pull over along the road for the bathroom or to fix a snack; you have to open it up.
Gas mileage won’t be as good as with the PU. The PU barely dented my mileage. I pull a 16’ 3000# loaded TT with an F150 5.4 and get 14mpg overall. Less if I’m climbing mountains which I do a lot. You’re unlikely to beat that and you could get much closer to 11. But it depends on your TV, the TT, and where you’re driving.
