Steve, as you can see we have a multitude of different options. So I throw out another one.
The wife and I did a 2 month trip to Alaska and drove 13,000 miles. Our camper of choice was a popup truck camper. Low wind resistance and mileage was good for my truck. Normal mileage for a trip in my truck was 14 miles per gallon, I averaged 13.4 for this trip. Roads went from mud to interstates. I also had a 31' travel trailer with a slide at the time.
Selling after the trip depends on condition. I bought this camper for this one trip. The first person that looked at it bought it. Where you sell, will also come into the equation. Virgina would be easier than New York City I would think.
