Buy a tow vehicle you like, and get a 16 foot molded fiberglass 'egg' trailer like a Scamp or Casita. You have no setup/takedown like with a popup. The trailer will tow almost as easy as a popup due to the rounded edges, smaller height and width, and light weight. Many users report 14 to 16 mpg, compared to typical 10-11 mpg for a boxy TT or a TC. And after your trip, the egg trailer will sell FAST if you price it fairly because there is such a demand for them.
