For truck campers, I'd want to know a lot more about the brake system before relying solely on axle ratings. The fact that an axle can carry more weight does not mean that the truck has the combined braking power to stop it!
Braking on our size trucks determined by the vehicle FAWR and RAWR at a minimum.

F350 DRW with a 9900 rawr and 6000 fawr = 15900 lbs of braking performance at a minimum.
A std cab 2wd one ton drw gazzer may weigh in the 8k range which leaves 7k + lbs in the bed payload...or braking for your big TC.
One reason we see so many triaxle GN flatdecks with 7k axles and tandem dual 10k/11k/12k axle out here on the road behind that same F350 DRW making monies.
That 7k triaxle has 21000 lb of braking performance/etc.
