Truck Camper Weights?

Hi Guys, I am looking at an older TC and my truck is set up for a 1994 Lance Squire 4000 which I no longer own. The old rig I'm thinking about picking up is a 1989 Shasta and not sure what model but I'll be looking at it for the first time in a couple of days.
My truck is a 2005 F2 with 6.0 Diesel V8 with Firestone Airbags.
I'm pretty sure I can handle it but was wondering if the actual weights are listed anywhere?

  • The 2005 F-250 regular cab can handle a lot of weight. But the 400 pound diesel option, 400 pound 4 wheel drive and perhaps you have a crewcab that will take away another 400 pounds of cargo capacity, that can leave you short by 1,200 pounds compared to a V10 gas truck.

Check your curb weight before loading it up, and again afterward. Then you will get an exact camper weight.

Look for a moving company, recycling center that has a scale, or something like that.

    Good luck,

    Fred.
